Synopsis From Back of Book:
Like most girls at Rosemound High School, seventeen-year-old Lily Crane is acutely aware of Ryder Kingscott. Hands down the cutest guy in school, Ryder is cool, mysterious, and utterly untouchable...especially for Lily. For when she touches someone, Lily instantly learns all about their lives. And while such a skill might seem nifty, in truth it is wrecking Lily's life. So she is shocked when Ryder asks her out - and even more shocked to discover he has a rival. Lucian Bell is the gorgeous new kid who can't take his eyes off of Lily. Being pursued by two hotties should make a girl happy, but Lily is skeptical. The boys act as if they've met before, hating each other with a passion that could only be rooted in a dark, dangerous past. A past full of terrible secrets. The kind of secrets that could get a girl killed.
Review: First things first. I thought this book would be an upbeat novel. I mean the cover is really pretty and it is pink! Also what is there not to like about a Ginger on the cover?!? Nothing! Anyways this book was so freakin awesome and was a bit darker than expected. Ramona Wray is a phenomenal writer!
The plot was never slow. There was always something happening and unfolding. My mind was spinning the whole time. Also the events in this book like Algebra class and prom and high school. These things are all happening to me now and I really could connect this novel.
Lily is the perfect main character. She is super smart and has powers. She also is very relatable. I really liked how geeky she was. She reminded me of well me *cough*. Ryder was so HOOOOOOTTTTTT!!! Yes I drug it out and capitalized HOT. I am not ashamed he was. I mean is!! He was so sweet, yet frustrating and I liked that.
So I have read so many books on Angels I am kinda getting sick of it. BUT when you get really good books like Hex, I realize why I fell in love with the genre. Ramona Wray writes in such a unique way. The writing is super witty and that I love. Facts can be thrown in flawlessly and make the book what it is. I am in awe of her style.
I think everyone should read this book! Which is why I am giving away a copy! Well Ramona is!
